Buffalo racing in Chonburi, Thailand
lvdkeyes replied to MIA's topic in Biking, Driving, and Motoring in Thailand
I took videos, but can't seem to get them in a format to post here. -
My anti virus blocked access to the link. VIP (reserved) seats are 510 baht. The only way to avoid the stampede of Chinese tourists scrambling for seats.

ONE TOURIST DIES AND ANOTHER HOSPITALIZED FROM SPIKED DRINKS
lvdkeyes replied to CrazyExpat's topic in Thailand News
One time when I told a ladyboy to get he hand away from my pocket, she and her friends got off and when the baht bus started to pull away she spit at me. They can be nasty bitches. -
Another Supreme Court Appointment for Obama?

Do you think he would risk the wrath of Hillary? -
That's quite a long list.

It all makes as much sense and when the blur out a cigarette on TV when it reaches someone's lips, but not before. I am an avid anti smoking advocate, but this is crazy.

That 2pm to 5pm ban on alcohol sales was Thaksin's brilliant idea to keep kids from buying liquor after school. That's the logic, however dumb it is to us.

ONE TOURIST DIES AND ANOTHER HOSPITALIZED FROM SPIKED DRINKS

On more than one occasion my pocket was attempted to be picked, unsuccessfully. I have zippers on my pockets and whenever I am on a baht bus or in a crowd, I stay vigilant to what's going on around me. -
Last night my bf and I ate at my favorite seafood place at the end of Jomtien Beach Road. The name is only in Thai. We had pork and egg tofu soup, mixed vegetables with seafood and vermicelli, deep fried battered prawns, mixed seafood fried rice and water to drink. The bill for the whole meal was 510 baht. Great food at a great price!

Motorbikes and Accidents in Thailand
lvdkeyes replied to eleothegreat's topic in Biking, Driving, and Motoring in Thailand
I have seen as many as 5 on one bike, all without helmets. -
It looks like Italian is way ahead in popularity. My choice too.

Loy Krathong is on November 2. The previous days are celebrations leading up to it. -
Thailand Do, Thailand Don't

The parents in the west need to begin to instill this in their children at the earliest age possible. -
We went to the buffalo races today and had a good time. I will try to post some video clips tomorrow. Too tired to do it tonight.

Motorbikes and Accidents in Thailand
lvdkeyes replied to eleothegreat's topic in Biking, Driving, and Motoring in Thailand
In Vietnam I saw several motor bikes with large baskets jammed full of baby pigs, apparently off to the market. -

In CM Loy Krathong lasts for 3 days with fireworks and lanterns. On the last night there is a huge street parade with beautifully colored and lighted krathong (floats). I was there last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. Pattaya is nice too with a pig roast on Dongtan Beach and lanterns. It is a bit more difficult to get your krathong to float out to sea than down the river in CM. Also, Pattaya doesn't have a parade. -
He has already admitted his guilt.

Thanks, they taste even better than they sound.

Barbecued Pork Ribs 2 full slabs of pork ribs, about 3 pounds each Spice Rub: 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper 2 tablespoons salt 4 tablespoons sugar 2 tablespoons ground cumin 2 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper 2 tablespoons chili powder 4 tablespoons paprika Mix all spices together. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 C). Rub pork ribs on both sides liberally with mixture. Place ribs on a baking sheet, meaty side up, cover a sheet of cooking parchment and seal tightly with aluminum foil. Bake 4-5 hours or until fork tender. In the meantime prepare Barbecue Sauce. Barbecue Sauce: Mix together in a medium size pot: 2 cups sugar 1 tablespoon salt 1 Tablespoon chili flakes or more to taste 1 ½ teaspoons freshly ground black pepper 1 cup yellow prepared mustard 1 ¼ cups ketchup ½ cup water 12 ounces white vinegar Cook over medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Mix together in a small bowel: ¼ cup sugar ¼ cup corn starch ¼ cup cold water Stir into sauce and simmer for another 30 minutes. When ribs are tender, remove the foil and drain off the excess fat. Liberally slather the ribs on the meaty side with the barbecue sauce and heat through, either in the oven or on a charcoal or gas grill.

I have done CPR many times, but I always tried to get an ambu bag, rather than doing mouth to mouth. When I did have to do M to M, I used lots of Listerine after wards. Yuck!!!!

I wonder what they sell for in Thailand.

Buying Property in Thailand

Always see a lawyer regarding any financial transaction in Thailand, even with a wife, husband or anyone. -
Speaking of chopsticks - In the US I once saw a woman feeding her husband (presumed) with chopsticks while he was driving. Scary! One bump and he would have gotten a chopstick up his nose or in his eye.

If the farang had drugs in their system, but not the ladyboys, you can safely bet the drinks were spiked. -
I will post my recipe for cooking ribs at home on the Recipe Forum.
