    Forever Roman

Quote, "And I'd suggest that anybody that doesn't read it ought to quit commenting substantively about what happened or what Polanski admitted to." Don't you just love freedom of speech? You are sounding a little like the Myanmar generals and our Chinese friends.
  3. Since New Orleans is the mardi gras capital of the US, you know they love parades. Speaks a great deal of the Saint's fans to add a Saints parade to their mardi gras schedule.
  4. The French Canadians have a bad reputation in Florida. I have heard many Floridians say they are loud and rude. I think the root cause is they have a bad reputation for not tipping. With much of the service industry depending on tips, they tend to badmouth people who do not.
  5. This would be welcomed. I also heard the internet will soon run out of addresses. They are able to expand but the expansion web addresses will not be compatiable with the old wed addresses.
  6. My previous remark was flippant. Perhaps I should not have had that last beer? I was trying to better understand Lvdkeyes remarks. Quote: "I was pointing out that Blacks don't use nigger, which is a derogatory word; they use nigga, which for them to use among themselves is not derogatory." You are saying these are two completely different words? One is an acceptable term and the other a derogatory term? I disagree. These are the same word with a different accent and they are both derogatory. Although I have heard the word used amongst black friends, it is still a put down. Quote: "I had a black friend tell me one time, "You can use the "N" word with me." I told him I wouldn't do that." Did your friend make it a point to have you call him a nigga instead of a nigger? Maybe I am wrong in my thinking and you are right.

    Posing Nude

Quote: I really don't see how the fact that he posed nude should disqualify him to be a senator. I wonder if it would disqualify a female to become a senator or even a congresswoman? Would Hilliary Clinton or Nancy Pelosi be where they are today if they posed nude at the age of 22?
  8. Some shooting stars spend their money like it will never end. It is quite a wake-up call when they find they are down and out in Beverly Hills.
  9. ASAP and for sure before your coverage runs out. You know those pre-existing conditions can be a problem.
  10. I enjoyed my working years and many of my co-workers. I didn't think I would enjoy retirement. WRONG! I still carry into retirement one of the office annoyances and that is "slow computers." I should not be bothered with such petty annoyances. I guess patience is a virtue.
  11. For those in Pattaya, I have always gone to Tuk.com to the Telewisz office on the second floor. They have been very kind in helping me change my 1-2 call plan. Best to go when they are not busy.
  12. I have seen clips from the super bowl parade in New Orleans. The city is enjoying their first super bowl win. Good for them.
  13. According to the following article, the percentage of women watching the Super Bowl has increased bringing the total of over 18 year old male viewers to 45.8 million and 37.7 female viewers. I am surprised at how close those figures are to 50%-50%. NEW YORK In the last 10 years, the percentage of women watching the Super Bowl between the ages of 18-54 has increased by 8 percent, according to data provided by the Nielsen Co. Despite this growing female audience, 35 percent of the commercials are still targeted towards male viewers. In fact, during the 2008 Super Bowl telecast, men generally seemed to enjoy the commercials more than women. According to Nielsen, approximately 25 percent of all commercials were "better liked" by men than by women; about 7 percent were "better liked" by women than by men, and the rest were "gender neutral." Even during the various entertainment awards shows -- where advertisers presumably make a concerted effort to target women viewers -- these proportions are about the same. The most popular commercials among male viewers that aired during the 2008 Super Bowl were Bud Light's "Ability to Breathe Fire" and cavemen spots; Audi's Godfather-themed ad; a Victoria's Secret effort; GoDaddy.com's commercial; and Tide's "To Go" spot featuring "the talking stain." Among female viewers, popular commercials included eTrade's "talking baby" spot; T-Mobile's ad featuring basketball star Charles Barkley announcing he's added fellow hoopster Dwayne Wade to his favorite "five" on his mobile phone; and CareerBuilder.com, featuring a woman whose heart pops out of her chest. The 2008 Super Bowl was the highest-rated TV show in the U.S. for the year and was viewed by a record 97.5 million people -- more than any previous Super Bowl. And, as expected, 42.9 percent of those viewers were males 18 years and older (45.8 million viewers). However, according to Nielsen, 37.7 million women over the age of 18 were also watching. 15. I am surprised the government has not pinned Somchai Neelapaichit disappearance on Thaskin.
  16. Quote: A gap year, if you will. While relatively uncommon in the United States, the gap year is akin to a rite of passage for 20-somethings in other parts of the world. In Australia, students are encouraged to travel or go on a working holiday before beginning university. And in Israel, after completing service in the Israel Defense Force, it is customary for the 21-year-old to travel. It is a shame the gap year travel custom is not common in the US. A young person can really learn much while traveling. Makes for a well rounded person, in my opinion.
  17. A friend of a friend had the bad fortune to become unemployed and diagnosed with lung cancer. My friend was helping him fill out the paperwork to extend his 18 month Cobra policy. The way she explained it to me, it is not guaranteed but it can be done.
  18. Mick Jagger probably doesn't need the money, but as much money Michael Jackson earned in his lifetime, you wouldn't have thought he needed to return touring.

  20. And that is what they are after. Was it Madonna that said an publicity is good?
  21. While watching the super bowl here in a local bar, there were maybe less than a half a dozen women to at least a 100 guys.
  22. You never hear about the Buddhist Thais causeing problems in the South. I wonder why?
  23. The supreme court is the highest court in the land. What they say goes. Not sure if Thaskin is able to pay off a few judges or not?
  24. I sometimes think it would be easy for the terrorists to drop a bomb from a small plane on a crowded sports stadium. Like you implied, if the terrorists are determined, it would be easy to kill many people in New York or any big city.
