I had a very slow internet connection at the condo in Hua Hin the last couple of months and was unable to access this forum all that often.

So.....

(1) Did somebody win the trip contest? (Unless my feeble mind is failing, I thought there was some contest amongst those (not me!) who posted 500 or more times).

(2) Why has the posting numbers dropped like a rock here? The contest being over?

(I'm just curious, not trying to offend anyone)

If at all possible (when the time and ability arises), could you please extend the right to edit for at least 10 minutes or so(actually an hour would be even better). Like everybody else, I end up reading what I've posted within a few minutes of posting something and see that my spelling or grammar was a bit off and/or that I omitted something - only to find out that the system won't let me edit it. I can understand a time limit but it's way too short with this board.

Looks like some type of board glitch or backup problem but looks like most Feb 3 and Feb 4 posts have disappeared.

Could some post the link that enables you to view new posts?

My avatar appears beside my posts but does not appear when looking at Today's Top posters.

Just curious if anyone doesn't see my avavtar next to my posts or does see my avatar on the list of the today's top posters?

When posting, I use the "add reply" button and then re-read my post. If I have made any errors, I use the "edit" button. I noticed on an older post that I used here instead of hear and wanted to change it. No "edit" button to be found. Why is that? How do I change an older post?

Hi.

Just curious. I was looking at my profile. What does the REPUTATION (under the photo, I suppose) mean? I have 1 for reputation and it says neutral. I saw someone with a red reputation which says -1.

Who gives out the reputations?

Haha. Just curious.

20 subforums and none for travel deals.

I stock an airfare post in the Biking section but I get the sense you want to keep it pure and airfare threads generally dominate travel sub forums.

I'm no longer getting any notifications when people respond to threads, topics or forums I'm watching.

Is there a glitch in the system?

The notifications system is really awkward. If I start a topic I should automatically be notified of responses - I shouldn't have to hit "watch this topic" because it adds extra steps you don't need. Obviously if someone starts a topic they want to be told of responses.

Also, there should be an option where you are automatically watching any topic you respond to.

When I open a post (at least one of any length), I'm seeing a light blue horizontal stripe about half way through the post that is obscuring part of the print. I'm using IE8. Is it me, is it a bug, or should I use a different browser?

It would be nice to see a form for newbies to introduce them selves and maybe say a little about what ever theuy would like others to know , a little more personal so people on here can get to know one another.

thanks
