Requirements
for tourist and transit visas:
In general, tourist visas are issued initially for a 60 day
period and can be renewed while in the Country. At the time of
writing, a tourist visa application will cost you about $25.
Transit visas are issued for a 30 day period and cost about $20
per application and an extension can be applied for when in the
Country. Tourist and transit visas generally require a copy of
an airline ticket and/or travel itinerary for Thailand.
Requirements for making a valid application:
- A completed application form,
- Two passport size photos,
- Payment in cash or money order.
You can obtain an official response or processing of your application
usually within two days of submission (in person). These are
only general requirements; Health requirements and visa application
criteria may vary slightly from one Country to the next and you
should check with your local consulate for further details.
