Rail Transport in Thailand:
Passenger
rail services in Thailand are fairly developed and are widely used.
Most major towns and cities in the Country are linked by rail and
frequent train services including express trains. The Hualamphong
Train Station in Bangkok is the busiest in the Country. From here
you can catch daily trains to a number of Thai cities including;
Ayutthaya, Chiang Mai, Chumphon, Hat Yai, Khorat, Nakhon
Pathom, Phitsanulok, Surat Thani and Ubon Ratchathani. There is also a
frequent service running every 50 minutes to and from the Bangkok

Bangkok City Rail Transport:
The Bangkok Metro is an efficient underground rail transport
system officially opened on the 3rd of July 2004.
The Skytrain: the Bangkok Skytrain is another modern elevated
rail service that operates along two lines within the City. This
is another fairly new service being opened for public use in
1999.
International services;
You can also catch a train to or from Malaysia with timed transfers
on the Thai-Malaysian border.
