Thailand embassies and consulates:

Thailand has a large number of consulates and embassies in countries around the world. In the United States, the main embassy is situated in Washington DC, and there is a consulate in New York City.
Other Thai embassies can be found in the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Japan, Italy, Australia and New Zealand.
There are also embassies and consulates that can be found in major cities in Asia, Europe, Arabia and Africa. For more information on your nearest consulate location, you can visit the official Thai foreign ministry website at: http://www.mfa.go.th/
Consulates provide information for tourists including; travel advice, visa conditions and travel restrictions. They also process and conduct interviews for visa applicants.
Many travel agents today provide the option of processing the visa on your behalf if possible. This can be convenient as they are usually well versed on the process.

Foreign consulates in Thailand:
There are many foreign embassies and consulates in Thailand. Most of these are situated in Bangkok which is the country’s capital. It is important to know if a consulate for your native country is present here. Information on foreign embassies in Thailand can be found at: http://www.mfa.go.th/
Your consulate may be able to assist you in certain cases of emergency e.g.; replacing a lost or stolen passport, legal advice and emergency financial assistance.
