The Sai Yok National Park:

The Sai Yok National Park is situated in the central Thai Province of Kanchanaburi. The park is located about 100 km from the City of Kanchanaburi which is the Province’s Capital in the district of Sai Yok. The Park was created on the 27th of October 1980 and covers an area of 500 square km. The Park is easily reachable from Kanchanaburi City by road. Tourist flights usually land at the Bangkok airport and you can travel to Kanchanaburi City by road or rail.

Accommodation at the park can be prearranged and booked online at the park’s official website: http://www.dnp.go.th/ fully and partly furnished bungalows are available within the park. There are also campsites, a restaurant and an information bureau.

Attractions:

Wildlife at the Park: Wildlife found at the park includes; tiger, deer, wild pig and bats in the many caves around the park.

Rivers: The Kwae Noi River flows through the park and has a number of spectacular waterfalls such as the Sai Yok Waterfall and the Sai Tok Noi Waterfall. This river is also visited by water sport enthusiasts and popular activities here include canoeing and white water rafting.
