Business
operating hours in Thailand are not standard and usually depend
on the owner’s willingness to stay open. Premises in tourist
areas tend to stay open longer than usual. General opening hours
for shops and convenience stores are usually between 8am and 8pm
Monday to Saturday. Government bureaus open from Monday to Friday
from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm. Internet cafes and some shops however
stay open till the early hours of the morning depending on business.
Banks operate from 9 am to 3 pm though hours may vary depending
on the institution.

July:
- Asanha Puja another religious holiday celebrated on the day
of the full moon,
August:
- The present queen’s birthday celebrated on the 12th of
August,
October:
- On the 23rd of October; Chulalongkorn Day celebrating the anniversary
of King Chulalongkorn’s death,
December:
- The current King’s birthday celebrated on the 5th of
December,
- Constitution day celebrated on the 10th of December,
- New Year’s Eve celebrated on the 31st of December.
