Hat
Yai is a major City in the southern Thai province of Songkhla about
31 km from the City of Songkhla which is the province’s capital.
The City has an estimated population of 191,200 residents. From
its humble beginnings as a fishing village, Hat Yai is now the
largest city in Songkhla and a major tourist destination for people
from neighboring Malaysia, Indonesia and China.
Transport:
The City is served by the Hat Yai International Airport which
caters for domestic and international flights from other Asian
Countries including; Singapore and Malaysia. Local airline Thai
Airways conducts regular daily flights between Hat Yai and Bangkok.
The City is also linked to Bangkok and other major cities via
a railway line.
Tourism:
Hat Yai is home to a variety of restaurants and eateries where
you can try a wide range of cuisines including Chinese and Local
Thai dishes. The City is also a shopping haven with a number
of curio and craft shops and shopping complexes. Hat Yai has
a vibrant nightlife featuring a number of nightclubs, casinos
