Air Transport in Thailand:

Thailand has a well developed domestic and international air service network. Domestic flights within the Country are very cheap and far from a luxury for many visitors. For about $30 you can travel to most cities and towns within the Country. Travel to neighboring Malaysia costs less than $100. There are daily flights between Thai Cities. These are operated mainly by; Thai Airways, Bangkok Airways, Thai Air Asia and One-Two-Go. The Bangkok Airport is the main gateway into Thailand and caters for direct and connecting flights from Europe, Australasia, Africa, Arabia and North America.

Major Airports:

There are four main international airports in the Country. These are;

- The Bangkok International Airport: this is a world class facility and one of the busiest in the region. The airport has two international passenger terminals and one domestic terminal.
- The Chiang Mai International Airport: the main gateway to northern Thailand and the historical City of Chiang Mai. The airport has one main terminal building and caters mainly for domestic flights and flights from neighboring Countries.
- The Hat Yai International Airport in southern Thailand,
- And the Phuket International Airport.
